When it comes to singing competitions, experts tend to have higher expectations for the participants than the average fan.
Despite the singers’ previously great performances, this can give the impression that the judges are being too severe. On occasion, though, a new talent comes along and amazes the judges and the crowd alike. Sisters Josefin and Mimi showcased remarkable brilliance on Germany’s “The Voice Kids” this year.
During their blind audition, these sisters showed off their remarkable talents by performing a piano-led version of “Creep” by Radiohead. Their stunning rendition of the ’90s hit, performed in perfect English, surprised onlookers. Some go so far as to claim their take is superior to the original.
Lena Mayer-Landrut and Stefanie Kloß, the judges, were clearly taken aback by the performance as soon as it began. Boss Burns and Hoss Power, a dynamic combination from BossHoss, as well as Mark Forster, all arrived shortly after, equally captivated by the sound.
The judges were rendered dumbfounded by the song’s conclusion. The harmony, intensity, and dramatic delivery of the sisters were nearly too much to bear. The judges wanted an encore, and Mimi and Josefin were happy to oblige. They received a standing ovation thereafter.
Everyone in the audience could relate to Lena’s faux swoon during the second performance. Even the experts can be amazed by the sisters’ talent; it left an indelible mark.
